Homecoming

My son in law spent a year deployed to Afghanistan. His homecoming was yesterday.

We travelled to Ft Bragg and spent the day with Tasha basically wasting time and staying occupied until it was time to go meet David's plane.

The flight time changed several times and finally settled on 11:20pm. We got to the hangar and started our waiting.

The plane arrived and they carried out a rug. For the little ones it seemed to take forever.

Waiting..........

But, it was all worth it. We are so happy to have David home where he belongs.

They were allowed 15 minuted to meet with their family before they loaded up to go hand in weapons. We left at the time so that they could have couple time after he was released.

Larissa was asleep before we left the parking lot. Considering it was way past her bedtime, she did really well.

At 3:21 am we pulled into our garage. I am glad that we were able to go and meet David and welcome him home. There will be a day when they will not live so close. We cherish the time that we have with them.
