The Rest of the Story

After Itty's court I was told that there was a 6 month extension for the parents that was requested by the dad. Yesterday the social worker came and filled me in on the rest of the story.  Dad is in jail for selling meth, while in jail he is going to complete his treatment plan and will be clean because he has been in jail so when he is released all he has to do is get a job and housing and he will get his son back.

Uh, ok. He did nothing on his treatment plan for months but now that he is locked up he is going to complete it. I asked how long he has to stay clean for once he is out of jail and didn't really get an answer. She said that if he goes back to using and someone calls it in then he would go back into care in the other state. Might not happen until he starts school though. Uh, that makes me feel real confident....not.

I need your thoughts folks! Anyone seen this before? I am afraid that my thoughts are not very nice.

Oh, Itty is walking! And turns one next week.

Neighbor

Would anyone like to have my neighbor? I am so fed up with him. Last weekend my kids were in our back yard playing hide and seek. He came up to the fence and told Benjamin that he was calling the cops on him. Benjamin came in the house all scared. He was scared for two days that the police would show up. I kept telling him that the police were not going to come. That if the neighbor called to tell them that the kids playing next door caused his dog to bark at 5 pm then they would laugh at him. I went to the fence and hollered for him. Yelled at him to leave my kids alone. That he made a 4 year old cry! He wouldn't come out.

I am so tired of him. Last year we worked so hard on having the kids be quiet that we didn't even enjoy our pool. That isn't happening this year. As a matter of fact I am looking at getting some music out back We are planning on a pergola to cover the back so that the girls don't have to worry about him peaking over the fence at them. We were going to do it last year but time got away from us. I am doing it this year.

We also purchased a new playhouse and are in the process of building a deck to put it on. I have lots of plans just not so much time and money! Anyone else have projects that they are working on.... or thinking of working on.

Baby Reveal Party

We had Joselin's baby reveal party. It was a small party with a taco bar, fruit and cupcakes.

Sadly most of Joselin's friends who said that they would come didn't show up. Some even said they were coming the morning of and that they were on the way. However, a family friend came and lots of family made it to include Jason. A benefit of a large family.....you can have big parties even if no one shows up.

We did the reveal that was suggested here, balloons. Joselin struggled to blow hers up because she was giggling too much. She very much wanted a boy because she is afraid that she couldn't handle a girl like herself. I guess I told her too often that they were going to grow up and have kids just like themselves, haha.

She was delighted with the reveal.

Big Year!

2018 shall be a big year, our family is multiplying. Three of our daughters are expecting babies!

Joselin is due in July. We went to an ultrasound last week so I do know the sex of her baby, however she does not. We are having a small party Saturday to do a gender reveal. It seemed real important to her. Any suggestions for a gender reveal? She doesn't want a cake. It is Saturday and I haven't planned anything yet!

Kassi is due in August. Hope to find out this week what she is having. We are very proud of her, she has gotten a nice job at an apartment complex. She applied and didn't really know the job. They had her prepare a powerpoint presentation on how she would increase leases and she did a great job. She landed the job based on that presentation.

Tasha is expecting a baby in October. They wanted to have a second child after she graduated from college in August. Pretty good timing! She is doing great in her respiratory program and is excelling at it. I think that she picked a good career for herself.

Week of Appointments and Birthdays

This last week was a crazy week. Every day I had an appointment, some days appointments and visitations. Right now I only have two kids doing visits, Little Miss and Little Man. Actually Little Miss only does sibling visits for the most part as her mom moved out of state. We even has a GAL visit this Saturday. Hmmm, now that I think about it I haven't heard from Little Man's GAL at all.

Next week I have to take Little Miss into town to do blood work. They said that they don't do the skin test for allergies until they are 4. He acknowledged that it is more accurate though. However, he said that there is more than one blood test for allergies and the three day turn around one that she had is not the most accurate. I am not looking forward to taking her in for more blood work.

Itty's status is still up in the air and I suspect it will be for a while. Apparently dad is out of jail and into treatment and has called and requested a 6 month extension.  DSS is going to recommend that at court this week. I normally go to court hearings but I didn't receive one in the mail this time. Hmmm.

Little Miss went to the bone doctor and will have her cast removed in two weeks. She was given the go ahead to walk around on the cast. Her cast has been an actual positive. Although my shoulder is killing me (I think the cast weight more than her) it has forced me to carry her around. She has been loving that and it is helping with the attachment.

All these appointments are starting to run together. I thoughts that I had an appointment for tomorrow but I can't find one, I do have one for Tuesday. I have to look at them week by week. I used to just remember all of them, now I can't, they have to be written down or they will be forgotten!

We have also had a big week of birthdays. Benjamin is now 4 and Little Miss is now 3. Their birthdays are less than a week apart.

On Benjamin's actual birthday we had a family party at the house with cake and a few presents.

Then we went to dinner.

The weekend between both of their birthdays we had a party for friends at the local trampoline park.

I do have pictures of Little Miss but can't share them!

For Little Miss we also had a small party at the house where we went to dinner...

Opened our gifts and had cake.

Sarah had spring break this last week and we had planned on going to the zoo. However, the weather turned cold so we got out of the house and went to the mall. The zoo would have been cheaper!

We took all of the kids, two double strollers, and we were exhausted by the time we got home.

Doctors are happy with her progress.

and yes, I am still painting rocks.
