Moving of the Beds

As foster parents we have become very proficient at moving beds and cribs around. You just never know who will be sleeping under your roof.
.
When the two little ones came we put Kiwi in a bedroom upstairs by herself and the baby in our bedroom until we knew her schedule. Later we moved Kiwi to Larissa's bedroom and put the baby in the bedroom by herself. They had different schedules at the time.
.
Currently the two littles have similar nap/sleep times so I had decided to move Kiwi in with the baby if they didn't go home on their court date. I assume that they will share a bedroom when they go home.
.
Little did I know that when the crib got moved out of Larissa's bedroom that a bed would be moved in it's place. Joselin will be sharing a bedroom with Larissa. I know that it may seem odd. That sharing a bedroom with Sarah seems more logical. However, in the past it has created problems. I think that Joselin will do fine with Larissa. I do believe that there is a level of attachment between those two. Joselin was part of the team who helped Larissa with her attachment issues. There were many days when Joselin held that sleeping baby.
.
Joselin is still here and hasn't left so we moved furniture today.
.
This morning I ran into the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for the kids at church. She stated that the next court date is in March. That fits with 90 days but I had hoped that they would have a resolution before then. I know it may change.
.
Today I wrapped the the foster babies presents and did some shopping for Joselin. I also put names on some Christmas stockings. It is beginning to look like Christmas around here. Tomorrow I will make some buckeyes so John can take some to work. Hmmmm....wonder if I need to make a double batch.
.
I also cleared a space in our bedroom for the air mattress that Larissa sometimes sleeps on in our bedroom. The last two nights she has crawled into our bed around 3 am. Today she was real whinny and I told her that she would be sleeping in our room tonight on the air mattress. That seemed to help her. She just has trouble dealing with change and having Joselin home is a big change.
.
So, I got some things accomplished today, but it doesn't feel like enough. I have a lot of organization things I want to get done over Christmas break because I know that once school starts all extra projects will be put on hold. I took three classes last semester and will have 4 next semester. I do believe that I will be just a tad busy very soon.
.
Well, I am off to go play a little Cityville before heading to bed. Have a great day.

  1. It's going to get crazier. One step at a time. I hope they do a transition period if the little ones go home.

  2. goodness there is a lot going on! last time I stopped by Joselin wasn't home and it sounded like the two small ones were headed back to their homes of origin. It made me glad to hear that Joselin is back and hope it goes well. Happy Christmas
