Do you do Santa?

We do Santa. We have fun with Santa. In our house Santa is real.
.
I was talking to Tasha today about Santa. She said that we always kept her guessing. One Christmas we went to a Midnight church service and I ran in to grab my Bible and very quickly put up the filled stocking and laid out the Santa gifts. When we came back from church it looked like Santa had been there while we were gone. What fun!
.
Santa gifts are not wrapped. Naturally all the gifts that are impossible to wrap are from Santa.
.
There does come a day when my kids tell me that Santa is not real....they know. I tell them that he is real. However, he is not the man in the red suit, Santa in our house is the spirit of giving. None of my kids seem to have been traumatized by their belief in Santa.
.
This year Sarah has gotten to be Santa. She has wrapped most of the gifts and is in the know about some of the little ones gifts.
.
I mention Santa because Larissa got to see Santa at school. She actually told him that she wanted a GoGo Puppy. Hmmmm, I had no clue what a GoGo Puppy was. A quick trip to Walmart was required where thankfully there were stacks of GoGo Puppies. If only all of lives wishes were so easy to fulfill.
.
I am afraid that Anthony will not have his wish fulfilled this Christmas. He wants the outfit that the men are wearing on the TRON movie. I explained to him that they weren't for sale, that it was a movie. Ah, the suits are cool and light up but are not for sale. He was not deterred.
.
I also found some cute girly fabric at Walmart......isn't she cute?

Have a great evening....I am off to work on laundry....yuck.

  1. my mother in law has a large ornament shaped plaque that she used as a tree topper this year that says "those who don't believe in santa get underwear"
I think that sums it up quite nicely!
In our house too "santa" is the spirit of giving!

  2. Santa's elves have really helped us with Stinkpot's behavior. "look! There's one in the window watching you!" May go and buy Elf on the Shelf.
