As part of our certification we are required to purchase and maintain an escape ladder for the upstairs. This ladder is not for the use of boys to come in the house through the window. However, it has come to my attention that this is happening.

Doors are for privacy. There are times in life when privacy is not necessary. Your door is now in the garage.

There are rules in this home. If you want to enjoy the benefits of living in this home then you need to learn to follow those rules. Until then, don't expect to receive much.

I love you very much but my patience is about gone.
Uh oh. It is one thing after another isn't it? NOt too hard to put an alarm on the window.
ReplyDeleteTime for a guard dog.

An alarm on the wondow wouldn't work, she would just bring them in one of the other windows upstairs or one of the doors. We have two flights of stairs going upstairs and many, many windows. The house has 3800 sq ft of space and it is possible to has someone in the house without me knowing it....unless you don't have a door. Without a door the baby monitor in the other room picks up voices from her room. No door means no boys in her room. I just expect her to take to one of the outbuildings....we have several options out there. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI understand. I'm trying to find a medium between policing my boys and letting them self destruct.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard when they are making bad decisions and are at the age where you really can't do anything. So frustrating.
ReplyDeleteugh. I can't even imagine the frustration. We are still in the world of 3 grade defiance and I'm tearing out my hair. I hope one of these days she is able to take a long look at it all.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes!
