Legos, our new obsession

It started with duplos.
Then we got a few legos.
 Then it exploded.
Friends gave us some. Found a box for $10 at a thrift store. Found some on clearance.

Benjamin who hates fine motor skill exercises will gladly sit with me and follow directions to put tiny legos together. Don’t tell him he is working those fingers.

Y’all it exploded. We had to have a sorting party.

He is so proud.

They spend hours playing. Next step, we are designing a town.

  1. Yeah...since my eldest is 24 and youngest is 4, I've been stepping on Legos daily for over twenty years. Those tiny pieces of plastic are expensive but how many other toys are still in working order twenty years later? How many other toys keep kids imagining and manipulating for hours at a time?

  2. We love Legos, were moving and let me tell you there was some unhappy kids/grown up when the Legos were boxed up. And yes Legos can hide many educational and therapy exercises.
