Expo

The Model and Talnet Expo was great. It was created as an opportunity for talent to meet with agents in the industry. They keep you very busy all week!

With Mike Beaty, the creator of the Expo

With Rorrie Travis, the Red Power Ranger, he was Larissa's acting teacher.

A lot of sitting and waiting. This was during callbacks for the fashion show. If you notice Larissa is sitting there very bored. To the far left out of the picture is her only jealous bully of the week. During practice there were two 13 year old who were 5'9" tall, because they are 13 they are put with the kids. The two girls got a lot of attention as they were trying to decide what to do with them. Larissa went and sat down and this girl and her friends started glaring at her. No contact at all. We ignored the glares. Later the main girl would send her friends to stand in front of Larissa who always said excuse me and moved on. The last incident the girl went across the hall to do a shoulder bump.  I let it be known that I would not tolerate physical contact. Our agency wanted her number to have her disqualified but Larissa wouldn't give the number. Finally a girl that Larissa friended went up to the girl and asked her what the problem was. She was put on notice and simply glared after that. Crazy to dislike someone so much that you never had any contact with. Just because you saw them get a little extra attention! I told Larissa to get used to the jealous girls.

By the third night Larissa was wore out!

The last night they had one on ones and callbacks. During the one on ones you can go talk with the different agents there. Because of the long lines we only got to about 5 of them.  After the one on ones you are texted a list of callbacks by your agent. Larissa got 17 callbacks. So we had to go and talk with 17 different agents. We spent hours doing this. Actually we didn't make it to one because they left before we got there. The first agent we went to wanted Larissa to straighten her hair. She said no and we moved on. Larissa liked several of the agents and I know that several of them liked her. We are now waiting for callbacks on the callbacks.

Our last night was a crazy night. We had a fire alarm at 4am, we were on the 16th floor. We got down to the second floor and they said it was a false alarm. At least we got to take the elevator up! We woke up to no electricity and water. We were supposed to have an awards ceremony but it was changed to a short ceremony with the mother agent awards and all around awards given.

If you look closely you can find Larissa.

After the ceremony we took off for Bryan, TX
