ALS

After struggling with bulbar ALS for about 2 years, my husband passed away in January. He was officially diagnosed in April of 2023 after a year of believing he had a stroke in April 2022. After 31 years of marriage I am left to manage our family. I dearly miss being able to share life with my husband. Often I have things I want to share with him and then realize that I am not able to do so. We all are dealing with the effects of watching him die piece by piece, ALS is a horrible condition. It steals so much from you. Thankfully I was able to care for him in our home and he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

  2. Felicia, I am so sorry for your whole family. The love you all have for each other has been evident through the years. I’m so glad that you were able to care for him at home, so you could squeeze out every possible second of time with him. 💔
